Getting Stranger is an ongoing series of photographs. The criteria is simple: Find a stranger. Look them in the eyes. Spend a minimum of five minutes with them.
It was well known for generations that within China’s borders the nail that stood out would be hammered down.
The tattoo artist in these images calls himself Curly. He is one of several tattoo shop owners in Guilin, China.
Two days ago I happened across this accident scene. By all appearances the driver of the moped hit the curb, lost control, hit the tree and landed in the shrubs. I couldn’t help but notice how these particular Chinese EMTs didn’t have much concern for this guy’s neck.
